Arizona education and health business sectors will grow in 2016

The business sectors in Arizona and Phoenix area are expected to see major change and growth in 2016. A recent CareerBuilder survey revealed that one in five U.S. employees are aiming to leave their current employer in the new year, with younger workers particularly likely.
"Just because a person is satisfied with their job doesn't necessarily mean they aren't looking for new work," said Rosemary Haefner, chief human resources officer at CareerBuilder. "Because of this, it's critical to keep up with your employees' needs and continue to challenge them with work they feel is meaningful."

The two Arizona business sectors that researchers at Arizona's Department of Administration say will see the most growth in 2016 are education and health services. As aging populations grow, the DOA projects that 2016 will see an increase of nearly 30,000 new jobs for health care and services workers. This is expected to be spread out across both existing businesses expanding their current staff and entrepreneurs starting new businesses.
Runner up to health services in terms of job growth is leisure and hospitality, with a projected an increase of over 6 percent for a total of with 23,300 new jobs. Follow that was transportation and logistics (21,100 new jobs over), professional and business services (18,500 new jobs) and financial (12,400 new jobs).
